Every fanfic and all of the written takeouts archived at the Akabeko have been stamped with a creation date. Anyone thinking of playing search-and-replace with these files should be aware that copies also exist in automatic, time-stamped archives elsewhere on the internet. The practical upshot of which is that the authors can prove the stories are theirs. If you take something, someone will take steps to have it removed from your site and/or any archives in which it appears.
Takeouts are not free for the taking, even if you do give the Akabeko credit. If you'd like to feature the Akabeko's takeouts or fanfiction on your site, email me with your site URL and I'll consider it. Demo... I've had some bad experiences with website maintainers failing to update links and email addresses; or -- even worse -- moving their site without notice, making it hard to notify them of a change. So at the moment, I'd really rather you just link to the Akabeko's main entrance. In any case... if you don't ask, and I find my stuff on your site, I will not be a happy little restaurant owner, and you will not like my complaints.
As for the Akabeko's talking characters... websites that welcome you are not unique; anime websites that try to create the atmosphere they're named after are. The Akabeko's theme was carefully crafted to mimic a Japanese restaurant as much as possible. As such, while I'm flattered you like the idea, I'd really rather you not copy it. Onegai!
Domo arigatou... your understanding and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
