Teaser and Timeline

This is the story which will explain where Kenshin has been -- where he is coming home from -- in Homecoming. This plot line is also tied to Sentimental Reasons and Someone to Watch Over Me.

I don't want to give a lot of details away, but to answer a few of the frequent questions: Kenshin goes to Nagoya, a town located a little over halfway between Tokyo and Kyoto on the Tokaido Way. The reason involves Soujirou.

Shortly before Kenshin arrives in Nagoya, the oniwabanshuu send Misao to Tokyo with information important to Kamiya dojo.  In one of life's little ironies, if she had left a day later, there would've been no need to go at all... or at least no need to go further than Nagoya.  As it is, she arrives in Tokyo during Kenshin's absence, and stays until his return.

Sentimental Reasons and Homecoming are side stories to Scented Adauchi, with Sentimental Reasons taking place while Kenshin is gone, and Homecoming covering his return. Note, however, that Homecoming takes place in the middle of the story, not at the end.

Someone to Watch Over Me takes place a few months after Scented Adauchi, and wraps up a few loose ends.
